With Alder Lake-S, Intel has made its comeback as the king of games. This is of course also reflected in our price comparison. The Intel Core i9-12900K, the Core i7-12700K, and the Core i5-12600K now occupy the top three places in the CPU ranking. In fourth place follows the Ryzen 5 5600X, the first product from the competition. The next Intel processor, the Core i5-12600KF, can only be found in ninth place.

No pressure to act at AMD after the Alder Lake launch? Ryzen 5000 remains price stable

The Ryzen 5000 series was initially difficult to get, but the Alder Lake CPUs mentioned are readily available. For the Intel Core i9-12900K, interested parties currently have to spend 695 euros at the cheapest retailer, while the Intel Core i7-12700K costs at least 444 euros, the Intel Core i5-12600K 319 euros, and the Intel Core i5-12600KF 309 euros. Intel’s Core i9-12900KF and Core i7-12700KF, which do not make it into the top 10, cost 669 and 437 euros, respectively. Both are available in stock. However, that cannot be said of the DDR5 RAM.

Hopes of a price drop on the part of AMD have not yet been confirmed. We reported at the weekend that a US dealer is now offering the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X for $ 300.  Only the Ryzen 9 5950X offers a small discount: Instead of 740, the retailer with the best offer only charges 719.00 euros. Did Alder Lake-S really make the difference here? A real conclusion can only be drawn in the coming days and weeks.
