Geforce Now RTX 3080 is available as a subscription

Nvidia is now offering a monthly subscription for its Geforce Now RTX 3080 game streaming service. So far there is only a 6-month subscription for around 100 dollars. What do users get?

The Geforce Now RTX 3080 subscription has been available since December 2021, which is intended to bring the computing power of an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 to PCs and many other end devices. The manufacturer has now announced that the expansion stage is also available as a 1-month subscription. So far, the Geforce Now RTX 3080 is only available as a 6-month subscription for just under 100 dollars. It is still unclear what the monthly membership will cost. What do you get with Geforce Now RTX 3080?

The price includes streaming sessions, which can last up to eight hours. In addition, Nvidia promises that PC games can be streamed in 1440p with 120 fps over the Internet line. If you use game streaming on an Nvidia Shield TV, you can even activate a 4k resolution. Nvidia currently offers three different offers in the cloud gaming area, which can be used on both PCs and Macs, on LG TVs, and Android smartphones/tablets:

• Standard membership is free . You can stream your previously purchased PC games approved by the respective developer over the Internet for a maximum of one hour per session. However, you have to wait until a server is free.
• With Priority membership, you don't have to wait for a free server because you enjoy priority access. In addition, the gaming session can last up to six hours, during which you can play with Full HD and 60 fps. Ray tracing features are available for selected games. Price: Around 50 euros / 6 months.
• The Geforce Now RTX 3080 membership offers the highest performance, enabling streaming in up to 1440p at 60 fps. A gaming session can last up to eight hours. Costs are around 100 dollars for six months.

Anyone who buys a new LG TV between February 1st and March 27th, 2022, gets six months of Geforce Now Priority membership worth 50 dollars and can enjoy many games as an RTX version and play longer than with the standard subscription.

In other news, Ryzen 7000 should get an integrated graphics unit and technical data are now making the rounds. It would therefore have about a third of the performance of the Steam Deck. In the end, it’s all about offering a counterpart to Intel and not leaving the field to the competitor without a fight.
