Xiaomi is expected to launch MIUI 13 later this year, probably along with the Xiaomi 12 line. The latest reports say that the user interface will also be pre-installed in all Redmi K50 smartphones.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claimed on Weibo that Redmi K50 phones with Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000 will have worse performance compared to their siblings running the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chips.

The Redmi K40 line consists of four devices and has three different chipsets. We expect even more variety with the new line – the Redmi K50 (or Redmi K50 SE) will run the Dimensity 7000, the Dimensity 9000 is reserved for the gaming version.

The Redmi K50 Pro will likely run on the successor to the Snapdragon 870, while the Redmi K50 Pro + will most likely run the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC.

Some of the phones may not come out of China with these names, but Xiaomi will probably launch them with new names through the POCO brand. After all, the Redmi K40 Gaming, among others, was sold worldwide as the Poco F3 GT.
