Aggressive design with AMOLED screen
Realme 8 Pro is very striking, thanks to a very interestingly designed back. It is dominated by the slogan Dare to Leap, which shines along with the rest of the back, while in the corner are camera sensors in the obvious iPhone style. Very attractive screening is especially pronounced around the slogan itself. The newcomer kept the recipe of its predecessor – glass front, plastic frame and plastic back, but it is very high-quality plastic, so the impression of making it is quite good.
The 6.4″ screen has a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a display density of 411 dots per inch. It is a good Super AMOLED screen, which is a rarity for this category of the phone where the IPS screen still dominates.
On the other hand, there is no high refresh rate, which we are used to in the past year, so we stay at last year’s 60 Hz refresh rate. The maximum illumination is declared at 1000 nits. There is a very useful Always-On screen option, which will show you essential information even when it is off, and there is a wide range of screen adjustments and adjustments so that users will be very happy with it. An optical fingerprint scanner is located below the screen.
Main camera still uses an additional 8 MP (ultrawide) sensors, and two 2 MP, but here the star is definitely the big 108 MP sensor! We can immediately say that the Realme 8 Pro thanks to it offers a fantastic experience in the field of photography. It is a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, with a pixel size of 0.7 µm, Super PD autofocus and an aperture of f/1.9.
The photos this phone takes are really great in most situations. The phone uses nine-pixel-binning technology to take default 12 MP photos, extremely rich in detail and true color reproduction. You can also activate the image mode in full resolution of 108 MP, which is incredibly detailed and sharp, but with two obstacles – shooting is much slower, and the resulting photo is very large and takes up a lot of space (50 MB and more), so this we recommend the regime only in selected situations.
Also, Realme 8 Pro supports the so-called. lossless zoom option, where 3x zoom photos are taken with virtually no detail loss. There’s also night shooting (with a slight softening of the photos), which is good enough, as well as AI assistance. Video recording is possible in 4K resolution at 30 fps, but electronic stabilization is only active in 1080p / 30fps recording mode.
