A listing has appeared for the upcoming Gigabyte Z690 motherboards, revealing their prices and specifications. Apparently, some Z690 boards could support DDR4, while others will support the new DDR5 standard.
According to the allegations, the Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Master board is listed in Australia at a price of AUD 768.90 while the Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite model is listed at a price of AUD 438.90.
The specifications list DDR4 memory as supported for both motherboards, suggesting that not all Z690 boards may implement DDR5 memory support. However, the listing mentions that the boards use the LGA 1200 socket, which is a mistake because we know that the 12th generation Intel processors are switching to the LGA 1700.
Earlier information suggested that the premium Z690 motherboard would support DDR5 memory, while other chips would continue to support DDR4. Intel Z690 motherboards and accompanying 12th generation Core desktop processors are currently expected to be released in late October.
