Ron Perlman to voice Optimus Primal in upcoming Transformers movie!
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will debut in 2022.
Ron Perlman will be part of the cast of the next Transformers movie. According to Collider, the actor will participate in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts as the person in charge of providing the voice of Optimus Primal.
While Perlman was not featured in the original Beast Wars: Transformers series, the actor already has experience as Optimus Primal because he played that character in the English version of the animated series Transformers: Power of the Primes.
Although they did not provide more details on the matter, the managers of the Transformers franchise confirmed the addition of Pearlman to the cast with a tweet.
"Ron Perlman joins the cast of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts as the voice of Optimus Primal. Streaming in theaters on June 24, 2022," they wrote.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take the Beast Wars story at its center and under the direction of Steven Caple Jr. ( Creed II ) will tell a story set in 1994 that will move between various locations and will introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons.
Thus, in addition to Perlman, the cast of the film will include Anthony Ramos ( In the Heights ) and Dominique Fishback ( Judas and the Black Messiah ). All while Peter Cullen will return as the voice of Optimus Prime.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will feature a script by Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters, which in turn will be based on a draft by Joby Harold. As of now, the premiere of the film is scheduled for June 2022.
