The mayor of a small American town wants to share Bitcoin with his fellow citizens
Mayor of Cool Valley, a small American town on the outskirts of St. Louis. He wants to distribute financial assistance in the form of Bitcoin to his fellow citizens, but that's not all…
Namely, Mayor Jayson Stewart intends to distribute the cryptocurrency Bitcoin worth up to 1000 US dollars to every citizen of Cool Valley (where 1,500 of them live) by the end of the year.
Reason? Opportunity for wealth. Stewart cites the experiences of his friends and acquaintances.
“Look, it’s digital gold. Some of my friends have completely changed their lives with the help of Bitcoin. They did normal jobs, and now they have a fortune of $ 80 million, ”said Stewart, who seems to want to help his fellow citizens do the same.
And in order to raise enough money for his plan, this distinctive mayor plans to reach into the pockets of his political donors, as well as state funds, including those for financial assistance for the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Stewart believes that the planned $ 1,000 is just the beginning and intends to incorporate a clause into his plan that will force Cool Valley residents to keep their crypto dollars for at least 5 years, as he expects their Bitcoin to be worth even more than it is today.
And will we see the realization of this unusual American political promotion - time will tell…
