Nothing Ear (1) - Mid-range headphones
These headphones are the first product of the Nothing brand, the creators of the OnePlus mobile phone line, and are an appealing option in practically any setting.
Nothing Ear (1) headphones are readily summarized as a combination of solid sound, unique design, and functionality designed to make use easier.
The headphones are used to perform functions that you would expect from much more costly versions, although even pricey models are not always as simple to use. That is, the functioning begins the moment you open the package.
When you remove the headphones from the packaging, you'll see an intriguing, partially translucent design of the charging box.
The box isn't particularly small, so it won't fit in every pocket, but it wasn't a problem for us. Magnets hold the headphones in place, and the box's depression keeps them firmly in place as well.
What we loved about the package was that when you opened it for the first time, the option to connect to the headphones and download the app appeared on our nearby Motorola without having to rummage through the Bluetooth choices.
Simply accept the connection and everything happens immediately, which is similar to the convenience of use found in the Apple ecosystem, for example.
When you open the headphone case, even if you have a tendency of turning off Bluetooth, the phone will tell you that the headphones are nearby and offer to connect. Please keep in mind that we are testing on pure Android 12, thus full operation on previous devices is dubious.
Within the application, you can view the status of the batteries in the headphones and the case, and you may modify the operation of the touch and sound of the headphones.
For the left and right earpieces, you can select triple-press or press-and-hold capabilities, although swiping on the earpiece is always designated for volume control.
When it comes to sound, you have an EQ with a few options (bass, treble, balance, or voice) and you can pick whether you want ANC to isolate you from the surrounding sounds or whether you want to let environmental sounds in so you're aware of everything around you while wearing headphones. It is immediately apparent that these ANC options have a major impact on performance when listening to music.
When ANC is switched off, all frequencies are equal, and the headphones initially lack power. However, when you enable ANC, the deep tones become substantially more evident and enrich the music, and we believe that the great majority of people would prefer this listening mode.
It's worth noting that the headphone battery lasts even less than five hours with the ANC system turned on, and with the box, you have a total of 24 to 30 hours of listening time, so they need to be charged more frequently, but that's how they obtained the headphones' lightweight and clear design.
