POCO M4 Pro 5G Review: Fast and yellow

The POCO brand brings us exciting smartphones every year at very good prices, which often beat the competition. Traditional yellow bale

POCO smartphones are a traditional combination with yellow paint. The box of standard sizes is thus again a whole yellow with black inscriptions. Inside we were waiting for a thin box, in which we found before opening the SIM slot, bright silicone powder, paper documentation and now a sticker with the POCO logo. There is home to a solitary smartphone wrapped in cool matte foil with basic phone information. There is also a cable and a charging adapter on the bottom of the box. Design and quality of work

POCO M4 Pro 5G is available in a blue color called Cool Blue. The back cover is matte with a very small surface area and looks like a blue lacquer paint. To the touch, however, the back cover is not suitable for quality.

On the left side we will find a hybrid SIM card slot, which will prove to serve 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM card and a memory microSD card. On the right side, it double-pressed before mastering the noise and pressed before unlocking the smartphone with an integrated fingerprint reader. The underside includes a charging USB-C port, a 3.5 mm jack for listening, a microphone and a player. On the top is the second player, microphone and IR sensor. Display is beautiful

POCO M4 Pro 5G got a 6.6″ IPS display with a shot to the selfie camera in the middle. 90 Hz refresh rate, but the display seems to be of good quality. Please note that the default refresh rate is only 60 Hz, so if you want a faster display, you need to go to the settings where you can change the refresh rate to 90 Hz. You can also set up a popular dark mode, a sunny mode, a reading mode, or you can adjust the color scheme according to your preferences. We were educated by the factory manufacturer, so we did not change the settings. Reader and stereo speakers

The fingerprint reader in the smartphone unlock press is, in a word, perfect. Unlock your smartphone with your finger on the reader without the unnecessary animation that the tento process would suggest. Compatibility is also excellent if we have not marked any unprovoked attempts to unblock it.

Other options for unlocking your smartphone include unlocking it with a product, pattern, or PIN code, and using Bluetooth charging, for example, smartwatches. Unlocking with the help of the creature works properly, but it is slightly smaller than the fingerprint reader.

They are following the trend of stereo players. However, their quality is not the most beautiful. They miss the bass completely and the maximum noise could also be about a bit higher. General processor from MediaTek

In the POCO M4 Pro 5G smartphone, we will once again find a processor from the less popular manufacturer MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G. It is an 8-core processor that is compatible with the Arm Cortex-A55 and Arm Cortex-A76 sails and is made of 6 nm technology. Its maximum frequency is 2.4 GHz.

The processor is powered by a graphics chip Arm Mali-G57 MC2, RAM type LPDDR4x with a capacity of 6GB and also an internal UFS 2.2 slot. In our case we have a small version with 128 GB available. Memory: 64GB/4GB RAM, 128GB/4GB RAM, 128GB/6GB RAM. Camera

The photo shoot of the lighter models should not be too rich, otherwise it is not even in this case. The main cameras are located on the back module and are smaller if you can see them at first glance. The photo module on the back cover, with its design, gives the impression that there are more cameras here, but we will find only two here. The rest of the bread, which at first glance resembles a camera, is lazy in design.

Specifically, we have the main camera, which has 50 MP and is the dominant element of the rear camera module. Below it is an ultra-wide-angle camera with an angle of 119 °, which also has an LED flash.

However, it has a poorer dynamic range, which can cause scorched and exposed places in high contrasts, such as taking pictures in the sun during lunch. Sharpness is also not the most beautiful, but if you ignore the photos on the smartphone display, if most of the fugitive users, you will be calm.

The ultra-wide-angle camera has a lower resolution, but it has a very similar color to the main camera, but still slightly less dynamic. The main camera allows you to take a 2-way close-up shot with a 50 MP crop. Selfie camera is 16 MP with f/2.5. Interior, night photography and video

When photographing the interior, the photos are beautiful for good lighting, but without lighting, and in poor light, the quality of the rapids is beautiful. The photos show a lot of exposed dark places and noise.

There is no night mode, which does not stop automatically, but you have to fill it manually in the camera menu. The night mode brightens the photo, brings warmer colors to it, but it is not so good with strong lighting. In some photos, you can barely see the difference between a photo with night mode and without it. For video only, a maximum resolution of 1080p is available at 30 or 60 fps. The quality of the selfie is still quite poor in the video. Battery

The POCO M4 Pro 5G got a 5000 mAh battery, which is why it doesn’t need the thinnest smartphones. It is very good, but we also let it go a millimeter higher. During the test, the smartphone was used very intensively, but on the other hand, we always managed to keep it for 1 and a half days.

As for charging, the POCO M4 Pro 5G delivers a 33 W charger, each of which is charged with a charger. You can see below:

  • 18 to 50% - 17 minutes and 30 seconds
  • 75% - 33 minutes and 37 seconds
  • 90% - 43 minutes and 15 seconds
  • 100% - 54 minutes and 35 seconds
