American writer Louise Erdrich is the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Literature in the category of fiction, for the novel "The Night Watchman".
Among the winners of the Pulitzer Prize for Literature in the biography category are Les and Tamara Payne for "The Dead Are Arising: The Life of Malcolm X", reports AP.
The awards were announced today at a ceremony recognizing the best authors from the world of journalism and art for 2020.
The Pulitzer Prize for music was won by the composition "Stride" by Tania León because, as the jury announced, "a musical journey full of surprise with powerful bass and rhythmic motives".
The drama award was won by the play "The Hot Wing King" by Katori Hall.
