The new Philips Momentum monitor with 120 Hz is intended for Xbox players
High resolutions combined with a framerate higher than 120 frames per second have forced the gaming industry to change and implement the HDMI 2.1 standard that allows the transmission of 4K images with a lot of FPS.
Philips has introduced the Momentum series of monitors designed for the Xbox. We saw the first big 55-inch 559M1RYV model a couple of months ago, and now it’s enriched with two more devices 329M1RV and 279M1RV . Both are designed for players of the new generation of consoles with 4K resolution and a high screen refresh rate of 120 Hz and come with an HDMI 2.1 interface.
Philips Momentum monitors bring features designed for the Xbox, such as ultra-clear 4K resolution at a minimum refresh rate of 120 Hz , HDR support, variable refresh rate for smooth gaming with always low latency. The Philips Momentum 329M1RV , comes with a certified VESA DisplayHDR 400, which brings a significant improvement over conventional SDR displays, creating stunning brightness, contrast and color. On the other hand, the Philips Momentum 279M1RV has a certified VESA DisplayHDR 600 with superior brightness and increased color range for realistic display of effects in games and movies. Fluid non-stop gaming experience is also ensured thanks to AMD FreeSync Premium technology.
The new two Philips Momentum monitors are not only a great solution for next-generation consoles, but are also compatible for PC gaming - the ideal size Philips Momentum 279M1RV provides both console gamers and PC gamers with features they deserve by making gaming better and more fun with highly demanding features. This model also comes with the IPS Nano panel, which provides a realistic color rendering through a wide viewing angle without changing shades, achieving up to 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. In addition, the monitor is G-SYNC certified, which means it syncs the monitor's refresh rate with the graphics card for an even smoother gaming experience that ensures beautiful visuals and an exceptional level of user competitiveness. Both models are equipped with Philips Ambiglow technology, which, similar to Ambilight for TVs around the monitor with LED lighting, visually expands the viewing experience.
Philips 329M1RV and 279M1RV will be available from November this year.
