M32U will be the fifth gaming monitor by the company Gigabyte, the other carrying Aorus branding. The design is very similar to the M32Q, and the specifications are similar. Both monitors use a high-speed 31.5-inch IP panel.
The biggest difference is in the resolution, so the new M32U model uses a 4K 3840 x 2160 panel, with improved backlighting. There’s also HDR400 certification, though both models deliver typical 350cd / m2 lighting.
The Gigabyte M32U has 90% DCI-P3 and 123% sRGB color coverage spectrum, and it is an 8-bit + FRC panel. The refresh goes up to 144Hz on computers and up to 120Hz for consoles, and the response is 1ms MPRT.
From the display input, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and a USB-C port with DP-Alt mode. There’s also one USB 3.0 Type-B port and three Type-A outputs, as well as a headphone jack with KVM function. There are also two 3W speakers. Gigabyte has not announced the price and availability of the M32U 4K gaming monitor.
