HP has announced a new monitor for gamers - HP Omen 27c. The 27-inch curved monitor has a quad-HD panel with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 240Hz reports Gadgets 360. HP says they have equipped a panel that supports the HDR400 in the new gaming monitor and it gets a total output of up to 240 frames per second with DisplayPort, while the HDMI port can boost the refresh rate by 144 Hz. The HP Omen 27c has a maximum brightness of 450 nits with HDR on.
The HP Omen 27c costs $ 529.99 and is available for purchase at the HP online store and is only available in black. The monitor will start shipping on December 12. HP offers a curved gaming monitor with a standard one-year warranty and allows customers to purchase an extended warranty for 2 or 3 years for $ 23.99 or $ 43.99.
The 27-inch quad-HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) screen has a contrast ratio of 3000: 1, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, width/height ratio of 16: 9, 92% DCI-P3 color range, and support for HDR400. The screen also gets 450 nits of peak brightness with HDR on and 400 nits of peak brightness when HDR is off. The HP Omen 27c has a curvature of 1000R and comes with HP Eye Ease technology. The monitor also has a response time of 1 millisecond.
Connection options to the HP Omen 27c include DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also comes with a VESA bracket 100x100 mm with a height adjustment of 130 mm. The HP Omen 27c measures 607 x 170 x 363mm without a stand and weighs 6.9 kilograms.
