POCO F2 PRO gets MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition
The POCO F2 PRO was updated to MIUI 12.5 in June this year and I can confirm firsthand that there were no issues with that upgrade. Today, 4 months later, it starts receiving the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, which was introduced in August this year.
However, the upgrade of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition for POCO F2 PRO is currently only in Indonesia and is expected soon. The upgrade comes with version number V12.5.2.0.RJKIDXM. In addition to bringing changes under the hood, it will also bring a new security patch for October 2021.
As it is standard practice to release new software, we will not all get it at the same time, so there will probably be a few days of delay even when it officially arrives. At about the same time, the upgrade should be available for the global market.
The POCO F2 PRO is actually a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro that just a year and a half ago offered great specs like the Snapdragon 865+ 5G, a pop-up selfie camera, a SuperAMOLED screen, and a great battery for $ 500.
POCO F2 PRO has so far received only one major MIUI software upgrade in addition to the Android 11 upgrade, and will likely get Android 12 and MIUI 13 sometime in the near future.
What are your experiences with this device, do you prefer a clean screen and a pop-up selfie camera or does it not matter to you?
