Discover Asterisk, a console of only four centimeters
Miniaturization advances have made things conceivable that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago, and Asterisk is one of the best examples.
In some ways, Asterisk is an evolution of that massive console. This system is only four millimeters long and has a comprehensive control system as well as a screen on which we can play a minimalist version of Tetris.
The two upper buttons allow us to move the pieces left and right, the lower left button accelerates the descent, and the lower right button rotates the pieces. It's the only game with this unusual system, but it's still astonishing that everything fits within four centimeters.
The Asterisk screen is of the OLED variety; it works in black and white, which translates to low energy consumption because to generate black, it directly turns off the pixels; it employs an ATTiny85 microcontroller, and the software it incorporates has been customized using Arduino programming tools.
The device arrives fully constructed in its current iteration, but one item is missing: the batteries. We'll need two button batteries inserted in the back to make it operate.
Asterisk is not yet available, but it may be pre-ordered for $20, which is a very high price, but reasonable given the quality of the screen and the console's compact size.
It is also crucial to remember that Asterisk does not have a set release or availability date, so when we do the pre-purchase, we are waiting for that confirmation, and We assume that later they will be supplied in a staggered fashion depending on the order of the pre-purchase.
You may have to pay customs fees depending on the nation from which you make the pre-purchase, so keep this in mind before starting a pre-purchase. Personally, We think it's a treat for everyone who enjoys technology and Tetris.
