ASRock will enter the monitor market

We occasionally hear that a company with an already consolidated position in one or more markets decides to go one step further and enter a new market, capitalizing on the fact that it already has a good brand image and, we understand, a reasonably consolidated position in those markets in which it previously participated.

ASRock will enter the monitor market

And this is the fact, as revealed by a tweet from the popular leaker Momomo us regarding ASRock. The technology firm, which we are already familiar with for its motherboards, graphics cards, and Mini PCs, among other products for the professional market, is about to make the leap to the monitor market, with two proposals aimed specifically at the world of gaming, a market that has not stopped growing significantly in recent years.

ASRock has long had the Phantom Gaming line, which includes both motherboards and graphics cards, and it is to this that the two screens that the company has already added to various registries (Displayport.org, Consumer.Go.Kr, and digital-cp), allowing Momomo us to obtain information about them, which in addition to allowing us to begin having information about them, makes us understand that their arrival on the market should not take long.

The first of the two versions is the PG34WQ15R, which features a 34-inch VA LCD screen with a 3,440 x 1,440-dot resolution with dynamic refresh rates ranging from 48 to 165 on DisplayPort connections and 48 to 100 on HDMI connections.

The PG27FF, a 27-inch screen featuring an IPS panel, FullHD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), and dynamic refresh rates ranging from 48 to 165 on both DisplayPort and HDMI connections, will be ASRock's second product.

Both screens are expected to be compatible with AMD FreeSync, an AMD technology with three levels (FreeSync, FreeSync Premium, and FreeSync Premium Pro) for the intelligent management of adaptive refresh rates that also serves to prevent stuttering like tearing, ensuring that the GPU and monitor work in a coordinated manner, avoiding frame loss, redrawing of previous frames, and other annoying visual effects that can detract from the gaming experience.

As you may know, FreeSync technology, like other AMD technologies, and unlike NVIDIA, is also interoperable with graphics cards from other manufacturers.
