Hardware manufacturer MSI presents a new gaming monitor, the Optix MAG281URF. This offers a resolution of 4K with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. In addition, the monitor is DisplayHDR-400-certified and has the "Less Blue Light Premium" function.
Something is happening again in the MSI monitor segment. The hardware manufacturer from Taiwan is presenting its new gaming monitor Optix MAG281URF with 4K UHD resolution at a refresh rate of 144 Hz, achieved via HDMI 2.1, and a screen diagonal of 27.9 inches. MSI emphasizes the Less Blue Light Premium function, which is supposed to ensure less harmful blue light when gaming. This is an integrated Eyesafe-certified hardware solution that reduces light emissions in the blue-violet segment of the blue light spectrum without causing any loss of color or image quality. Plenty of covered color spaces and various connection options
MSI also attaches great importance to the KVM function. With this, not only can two monitors be operated with one set of mouse and keyboard, but file transfers can also be carried out in PBP mode. Furthermore, the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces are covered to 95 and 124 percent respectively. According to the manufacturer, the MSI Optix MAG281URF performed better than 90 percent of all other gaming monitors in this area. The response time of the IPS panel is 1 millisecond GTG with a contrast of 1,000 to 1, while compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync is given. A DisplayHDR-400 certification is also available.
Of course, the MSI Optix MAG281URF also needs plenty of connection options. There is 1 Displayport, 2 HDMI 2.1, and 1 USB Type-C under the video connections. There are also two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 Type B port, and a headphone output. All other specifications of the MSI Optix MAG281URF can be found on the official product page for the gaming monitor.
