Sony has posted a list of the 10 best games for the PlayStation 5 on its blog , as it rounds out a year of the new generation console’s lifespan. The PS5 has generally received positive reviews, but has been very limited in terms of availability in many markets. Still, significant customer interest is noticeable, and as it marks one year of its existence, the list of the 10 best games for the PS5 gives an insight into what most console owners play on it.
The complete list of the 10 best games for PS5 includes some expected participants and is not surprising in itself. They are as follows:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War
- FIFA 21
- NBA 2K21
- Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla
- Destiny 2
- MLB: The Show ’21
- Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales
- Demon’s Souls
- NBA 2K22
From this list, Sony early introduced Demon’s Souls and Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales as games that can make the most of the console’s superior capabilities. The two games showed how well the PS5 can render games, and they as well as demonstrated its high speed. Games could also make the most of the new DualSense controller, which Sony has also reconstructed to offer better haptic compared to the older generation of DualShock 4 controllers.
However, although the data on the PS5 top 10 games is interesting, it remains to be seen whether the supply problem will be resolved soon. Sony is also believed to be working on an alternative PS5 design that could help it bring more consoles to store shelves. It will be interesting to see if the supply of the PS5 console improves as the chipset shortage scenario gets better. Sony is also facing competition from Microsoft, which, with its Xbox Series X console, has offered a very competitive offering that goes a step further in terms of performance.
