The first information about Innosilicon Fantasy One graphics cards appeared at the end of last month - the presentation of the equipment caused quite a stir among players (and looking at the current market situation, no wonder). Nay! Some even heralded the emergence of competition for Nvidia and AMD models.
It turns out that we didn't have to wait long for the official premiere of the cards, because Fantasy One models have already appeared in the manufacturer's offer. What can we count on?Innosilicon introduces the first Fantasy One graphics cards
The manufacturer has so far introduced two graphics cards: Fantasy One Type A and Fantasy One Type B. Both models offer support for all major programming interfaces (including OpenGL, OpenGL ES, OpenCL, Vulkan, and DirectX), so theoretically they are also suitable for gaming and can compete with the construction of Nvidia and AMD. The PCI-Express 4.0 x16 bus was used for communication.
The Fantasy One Type A model has been designed with gaming computers as well as data centers and workstations in mind. The card uses a single graphics chip, which can boast FP32 computing power of 5 TFLOPS and a rendering speed of 160 GPixel / s. In AI applications, the core offers a performance of 25 TOPS (INT8).
When it comes to construction, Fantasy One Type A uses a dual-slot cooling system with two fans (although it is probably not a top-shelf design - the hardware resembles cheaper cards from well-known manufacturers).
Fantasy One type B is a dual-processor design that is intended mainly for data centers and cloud computing systems. As you can easily guess, the accelerator offers twice the performance - the manufacturer boasts FP32 computing power at 10 TFLOPS and rendering speed at 320 Gpixel / s. The performance in AI calculations is to reach 50 TOPS (INT8).

Will Innosilicon Fantasy One models prove to be competition for Nvidia and AMD models? In fact, we have serious doubts here. The manufacturer did not disclose any information about the actual performance (you can find individual recordings of the card presentations on the web), so their performance is under a big question mark. It is also not known what the issue of drivers looks like (which in the case of graphics cards is also a very important matter).
It is not known when Innosilicon Fantasy One cards will appear on the market (let alone how much they will cost). After all, we do not expect the equipment to be available outside of China, so we can forget about real competition for Nvidia and AMD cards.
