Konami’s new game eFootball 2022 managed to finish in the top spot of the worst-rated games on Steam soon after launch - something Konami has apologized to twice so far and has now confirmed that the first patch will arrive on October 28th. It is not yet known what problems this patch will solve, but the studio has confirmed that it will release more details in the near future.
The game has so far received 19.6 thousand user reviews on Steam, of which as many as 17.4 thousand were rated negatively - a statistic that currently gives it an "Overwhelmingly Negative" rating on that platform. As for its title of the top worst-rated game on Steam, it still holds that position above games like Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction, RollerCoaster Tycoon World, and Uriel’s Chasm.
Most complaints are directed at the current lack of content, technical issues, below-average visuals and animations, and the lack of some features from past Pro Evolution Soccer sequels.
As for the number of active players on that platform, the average number at any point since the launch day is around three thousand, while the game peaked during the first day with nine thousand players recorded.
