Whose chips will power Samsung devices in 2022? - Here's the list

Until the end of this year, unless something unexpected happens, Samsung will not present either smartphones or tablets. But that’s why the South Korean giant is largely preparing for next year. At the beginning of next year, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S21 FE should be presented first, and after it, in the second month, the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected. It has now been revealed how many of whose chips Samsung will deliver on its phones and tablets next year.

The Elec reports that in 2022, Samsung will present a total of 64 phones and tablets. Of that number, 31 devices will be shipped with some Qualcomm chip, and 20 of them will be shipped with some Samsung chip. MediaTek will ship 14 chips to Samsung next year, and Unisonic 3.

Speaking of which devices will be shipped with which chips, of course, it’s too early to talk about it, but we know for sure that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will use both the Exynos chip (for South Korea and Europe) and the Qualcomm chip (for the US and China). When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE phone, it will also be shipped in Exynos and Snapdragon versions.

Also, the next folding Samsung phones - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, will be powered exclusively by Qualcomm chip, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, which will include three models - Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 +, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, run exclusively on Exynos chip.

It is speculated that the Samsung Galaxy A53 should be powered by Exynos, unlike its predecessor powered by a Qualcomm chip, while the Samsung Galaxy A73 will be shipped with a Qualcomm chip.

If there is a shortage of chips next year, changes in the choice of chips by Samsung are to be expected.
