Even if you haven’t been able to get your hands on the latest Sony PS5 consoles, the new and improved DualSense controller is one of the most impressive controllers we’ve seen. Of course, you may want to connect DualSense to your Android phone to enjoy the best Android games. But so far the functionality has been a bit limited because you have not been able to use some of the functions of the controller.
All that has changed, as the PS Remote Play app in the Play Store has been updated, which not only includes better compatibility with Android 12 but also brings more features. For some, you weren’t able to actually use the DualSense controller on the new Pixel 6 or any device running Android 12, Phandroid reports.
The latest update corrected this while bringing new features for those who are happy with the Sony DualShock 4. Those using the DS4, Android 12, and smartphone can now take advantage of the touchpad, motion sensor, and can even show remaining battery power.
Remote Play lets you play your favorite PlayStation games almost wherever you are. So, you can run Ghost of Tsushima or Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on your smartphone, connect your PS4 or DualSense controller and enjoy all the same features you would have to really play on your console.
Unfortunately, some of the new features included in this latest update for PS Remote Play are not available for devices running Android 11 or older. If that’s the case, you’ll just have to wait for Android 12 to arrive on your current smartphone. Or you can buy a new one with the Android 12 system.
