Canyon Wasabi smartwatch - Sports giant

Wasabi is an interesting watch, and its price is one of the expensive, so we are interested in what it has to offer potential customers. It comes with a unique system design and has several faces that you can change.

This watch comes with a large 1.3” screen, which uses IPS technology and has enough brightness for all conditions except direct sunlight. The glass of the watch is flat and protected by a border that rises slightly above the glass itself to avoid as many potential scratches as possible. The bezel around the glass is metal while the rest of the case is plastic so the watch itself isn’t too heavy. Watch comes in black and given the proper shape of the trim and the thickness of 15 mm, it looks impressive on every hand.

The back is of course plastic, and in the middle, we have a light bulge with a heart rate sensor as well as green LED to help the sensor. There are four pins on the edge, and they are placed in an arc so that the magnetic charger is unique. You get a silicone strap designed to dry sweat quickly if you use it during recreation, and since a standard 22mm strap is used, you can easily replace it as well.

The battery can last up to a week, depending on how you use it, and can be on standby for a long time. The system uses a Nordic chipset to consume little power and has BT connectivity as well as a GPS recreation track.

The watch can follow several specific sports such as walking and running as well as swimming, and with an IP68 rating, even the Canyon watch itself is called “Truly waterproof”. The watch monitors the standard heart rate and has a pedometer, so it monitors and calculates your calorie consumption, and displays the results on the watch as well as on the mobile application.

In addition to these features, the watch monitors sleep, receives mobile notifications and enables multimedia management on the mobile phone. It will also warn you if you are stationary for too long to get some exercise.
