Microsoft introduces Office suite visual refresh

Microsoft is introducing a visual update to its regular Office users, which it gave to insiders back in July. Both the 365 and the licensed version on Windows are now being refreshed.

The update matches the visual style of Windows 11 with rounded window corners and the option to use a dark theme (or sync the theme with your Windows).

The Quick Access Toolbar (at the very top) is hidden by default, but you can restore it by right-clicking on the toolbar and selecting the Show Quick Access Toolbar.

You can say that you get a visual refresh if there is a "megaphone" icon in the upper right corner of the Office window. It includes the "Coming Soon" feature, which enables visual refreshment, writes Microsoft Techcommunity.

Visual refresh is available and you can enable it in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote programs. Switching to a new design in one of these four applications will also change the look of Access, Project, Publisher, Visio, and Outlook, although you can't turn it off in those applications.
