Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a new report. It turned out that the consumption of LTCC for Wi-Fi 6E is generally higher than the previous Wi-Fi version.
This morning, the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a new report. It turned out that the consumption of LTCC (Low-Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) for Wi-Fi 6E is generally higher than the previous Wi-Fi version. They expect that the LTCC supply could become questionable again in 2022.
According to analysts' reports, AR / VR headsets with support for high-speed wireless transmission are the key to improving the Meta Universe user experience. Moreover, you can expect VR wearables to adopt Wi-Fi 6 / 6E, Wi-Fi 6E / 7, and Wi-Fi 7 modems in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The analyst also mentioned: "I believe that both the iPhone 14 (series) and Apple VR headsets equipped with Wi-Fi 6E are expected to encourage more competing products to adopt WI-Fi 6E."
In the report, Ming-Chi Kuo also pointed out that Jingde should start shipping LTCC for Metaverse hardware devices in 2022. Further, they will likely commercialize LTCC consumption (in Wi-Fi 7) from the second half of 2023.
In addition, the analysts' report also revealed that the estimation of mobile phone shipments in China will happen in 2022/2021. The shipment will consist of 300-310 million / 310-320 million units, while the penetration rate of 5G mobile phones will be approximately 85-90% / 80-85%.
The latest research shows that the alleviation of the shortage of Wi-Fi chips will happen as early as the first quarter of the 22nd year.
