WhatsApp can log you out of connected devices

WhatsApp recently introduced multi-device support to a large proportion of its users. Multi-device support is a feature that many WhatsApp users have been looking for and is finally widely available. However, you still can't use it on two different smartphones. If you have used this feature and connected multiple devices to your WhatsApp account, a new WhatsApp update may automatically log you out of connected devices.

According to VABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently introducing an update that includes a security update to properly sync your connected devices. As part of this update, you may be logged out of your connected devices. The update fixes some issues where conversations on connected devices were sometimes out of sync. There have been cases where a particular conversation has not been updated on any of the connected devices, so if you started a conversation on your phone and wanted to continue it on the desktop, you might not be able to see its full version due to sync issues.

As already mentioned, you may be logged out of connected devices after installing the update. But you can easily log in to the device again by scanning the QR code, just like you did before. The update is currently implemented on the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, but it is believed to be tested on the iOS version of the application.

To know if you are logged out, all you need to do is open WhatsApp on your smartphone and go to the tab of connected devices. If you see that your connected devices are showing normally, it means that you are not logged out and probably have not received the update yet. If you see a message at the top of the screen saying "Your devices have been logged out due to an unexpected problem", you'll need to reconnect your devices.
